| I recently experienced one of the scariest moments I have had in my life. We had just received 4 inches of snow on the ground. I had to go to work that morning. Figuring the roads were yucky and slick, I left my house two hours early (AKA 2am). Abot a mile down the road, I see th pair of headlights coming toward me at a pace much greater than my own. So, I decide it would be best for me to allow this vehicle to pass me, so I want to pull off to the side of the road. Wll, this turned into a crazy moment. I hit my breaks, and I start to slide, and I come to a stop right at the edge of a large hill leading down from a bridge to a creek. I, of course, was stuck. Thankfully the truck that i was allowing to pass, stopped, and pulled me out. That was scary. A feww more feet and I could have found my self at the bottom of that hill EEP. | | |
| I would like to take this time to thank everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes. After my up and down day, it was nice to read the many people that care about me and decided to take the time to send me greetings  . My day at work was fun-filled. My fellow phlebs (AKA blood drawers) decided that they were going to sing happy birthday to me. Then, after delivering some specimens, another person in another portion of the lab decided to overheard page the entire lab to wish me a happy birthday :) Much fun. Someone even bought a brownie-like cake for a mini-party in our break room. It was quite tasty. After a fun-filled day at work, I clock out and go to my car only to find that I had a FLAT TIRE! I mean, what a downer on a good day. Luckily, it wasn't raining outside anymore; so, I didn't have to change it in the rain. The culprit for this flat was a two-inch piece of steel, which is shown below.

That crazy thing made me have to buy a new tire for my car.  I even got a free lunch from a steak palce. On your birthday, this establishment gives a discount of up to $9 for the birthday person. It was pretty good. A big salad, a decent potato, and a small steak. Got to love the lunch menu! Well, thanks to everyone! | | |
